The Person You're Becoming

The Person You're Becoming

You don't know who they are yet. That's the point.

There's a version of you that doesn't exist yet.

Not the you from two years ago — the one who had it together, or thought they did. Not the you from last month, still picking up the pieces. A different version. One you're building right now, in real time, whether you realise it or not.

That's the strange thing about becoming. It doesn't announce itself. It doesn't send a calendar invite. It just happens — quietly, slowly, in the spaces between the hard days.

You don't become who you're meant to be all at once.

You become them in the moment you choose to get up when everything in you says stay down. In the moment you set a boundary you've never set before. In the moment you stop explaining yourself to people who were never really listening.

Small moments. Invisible to everyone else. Everything to you.

The person you're becoming doesn't need you to have it figured out. They don't need you to be ready, or certain, or healed. They just need you to keep moving — imperfectly, messily, honestly.

You're not behind. You're not broken. You're in process.

And the process is the point.

One day you'll look back and barely recognise who you were. Not because you escaped yourself — but because you chose yourself, over and over, until the choosing became who you are.

That person is already forming. Right now. In the quiet. In the hard days. In every decision to keep going.

Keep becoming.
